Macquarie Island

Macquarie Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and wildlife sanctuary since 1933, boasts remarkable biodiversity. Its rugged landscapes are home to thriving populations of penguins, seals, and seabirds, making it a vital centre for scientific research and conservation efforts. The Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service diligently oversees the management of this island ecosystem, ensuring its enduring beauty for future generations.

The day-to-day operations of Macquarie Island's nature reserve and World Heritage Area are carefully conducted under the stewardship of the Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service, ensuring the uninterrupted harmony of nature.

To support the dedicated staff and FIFO workers committed to the island's mission, Royal Wolf has installed six modular buildings. Each structure boasts two VLR 70 Trend heat recovery ventilation units meticulously designed to facilitate a continuous flow of fresh outdoor air. This innovative ventilation system not only maintains optimal indoor air quality but also thwarts the growth of mould through enhanced circulation.

Beyond offering comfortable accommodations, the VLR 70 S Trend units are integral to safeguarding the well-being of those who reside and work on the island. By ensuring a steady influx of fresh outdoor air and preventing mould growth, these units contribute significantly to the overall health and vitality of the island's inhabitants, enabling them to fulfil their roles amidst the challenging island environment.
