This energy efficient home, located in the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges in Victoria, received an upgrade to their heating system. The existing underfloor heating system provided a heated surface of 335 m2 and the Stiebel Eltron WPL 25 Inverter heat pump was selected to replace the 20-year-old heat pump.

The WPL 25 was paired with an SBP 200 l buffer tank and HMS Trend hydraulic box. The heat pump controller operates on a heating curve which modulates the capacity in relation to outside temperatures. The buffer tank is part of the system design and guarantees minimum flow of the heat pump and provides extra capacity for de-icing. The system is monitored and can be controlled through Stiebel Eltron's ISG (Internet Service Gateway).
