Stiebel Eltron Wins Environmental Product of the Year Award
Stiebel Eltron has been rewarded for excellence by the Master Plumbers’ Association of Queensland at their ceremony on the 17th of July 2010. The company’s hot water heat pump - the WWK300A - won the “Environmental Product of the Year Award” sponsored by Conergy.
This award night recognises companies with products that are of benefit to the Queensland plumbing industry. Finalists in this category were asked to demonstrate how their products are environmentally conscious, can provide outstanding savings to customers and how consumers will benefit from the product’s excellence in design and innovation. The award also reflects outstanding performance in fulfilment, cost savings and other services that require installation and on-going maintenance requirements.
Stiebel Eltron won a similar style of award in 2009 representing the Western Australian Market for the Master Plumbers and Gasfitters Association “ Energy Saving Product Award”.
The Stiebel Eltron WWK300A heat pump has seen a rapid growth in sales in Australia, being so successful that Germany has recently opened a 10 million dollar manufacturing plant just to assist in further production. The heat pump has not only started to be recognized for its brilliant all-year-round running cost savings but also its provision of efficient and environmentally friendly hot water. Master Plumbers’ Association of Queensland (MPAQ) President, Bob Kimlin, says the level of competition was tough.
