Byron Bay Boutique Hotel
New South Wales | Commercial Building
The Byron Bay Boutique Hotel sets new design standards in boutique hotels and retail developments within Byron Bay. This concept incorporates 24 hotel rooms over three stories, each with a STIEBEL ELTRON DEL 18 PLUS water heater installed in the joinery, providing constant hot water to all common areas and commercial kitchens. The project faced a key design challenge in creating uncluttered rooftop spaces, including a pool and bar, while avoiding the need for a central plant hot water system. The installation of STIEBEL ELTRON water heaters enabled the rooftop areas to remain uncluttered and the hotel to benefit from energy-efficient water heating.
The hotel also features a lobby, manager's residence, retail and restaurant space, and basement car parking, all located in the heart of Byron Bay. The public amenity is maintained throughout the entire length of the site, with a public walkway from front to rear featuring access to the hotel lobby and retail. Lush landscaping at the ground level and above creates a cool, pleasant environment with dappled lighting.
Magnate Developments was the developer for the project, with RAWCORP serving as the builder and Borderline Plumbing as the plumber. Thanks in part to the energy-efficient and space-saving design enabled by STIEBEL ELTRON water heaters, the Byron Bay Boutique Hotel has set new design standards in boutique hotels and retail developments in Byron Bay.
